Imagine being detained in a hospital against your will? Well, this is the story of more than 20 women with birth related complications who are being held at Kenya’s largest referral hospital for failing to clear medical bills.

Some have been detained at Kenyatta National Hospital for close to a year and the hospital floors have become their refuge. The hospital denies reports of detaining any patients, but citizen’s Purity Mwambia found her way into the hospital and here is that expose
